Questions and Answers

If I sign up, how many classes can I attend?

When you sign up for a membership with us, you have access to unlimited meditation time at our center at Gästrikegatan 8 in Stockholm or in the comfort of your own home via Zoom.

We are open Monday–Thursday and Saturday–Sunday from 9am–9pm (Fridays are closed). You book your session in advance by, for example, sending us a text message. However, you can join our guided online group sessions without prior notification.

What is the free introduction?

At the introduction you will meet one of our guides. The guide will give you a detailed presentation of the meditation method and what can be achieved. Of course, you will get the opportunity to ask any questions that you might have. You can book your free introduction here.

The introduction is given online or at our center. As mentioned above, we use the video conferencing service Zoom for our online meetings. When you have made your reservation, you will receive a confirmation via e-mail.

How does a meditation session work? Can I meditate online from home?

The meditation method is guided and very simple.  We offer guided meditation sessions both online via Zoom and at our center at Gästrikegatan 8 in Stockholm. You sit comfortably and follow the meditation method with your mind as it is guided. In the beginning, the meditation is guided individually, but as soon as you feel comfortable with the method you can join our online group sessions. However, even experienced meditators can book individual sessions when needed. The meditation is neither physically challenging, nor focused on any breathing techniques or mantras. The guides at the center will follow you through your meditation journey, and will do their best to make sure that you get a positive meditation experience.

Do you provide drop-in sessions?

As a member you can meditate whenever you want during our opening hours (Monday-Thursday and Saturday–Sunday 9am–9pm). However, you book your session in advance by, for example, sending us a text message. A reservation is not needed for the guided online group sessions.

How often should I attend classes?

As much or as little as you wish. We encourage students to attend as much as possible to see results and reach completion. But our main goal is for you to be happy and this means you must choose the speed that brings balance and joy to your life.

Is prior experience with meditation required?

No. The method is designed to be accessible to all people, regardless of education, age, experience with meditation etc. Children as young as six years old have been known to meditate and they tend to grasp the concepts right away and love it.

What are the roots (or lineage) of this meditation?

Unlike other meditative practices, that come from specific, and often ancient traditions, this meditation is somewhat new. This meditation started in 1996 after an ordinary man named Woo Myung reached full enlightenment. As of 2022, there are about 5,000 people who have reached human completion and the number is growing every year!

While the founder provides a standard guide (i.e. manuals etc.) and guidance to the meditation centers when needed, the centers around the world run independently from him. Instead, this is emerging by people from all over the globe trying their best to share this message of hope with others as a result of their own positive and transformational experiences.

How many centers are available worldwide?

There are currently around 350 centers in 44 countries around the world.

How is the center operated?

The center is operated as a non-profit organization. On an international level, meditation conferences and retreats are organized on a regular basis. The largest center is in South Korea.

Is this meditation a religion?

No. This meditation transcends religion; those who engage in this study find within themselves that all religions are one. This meditation is not about believing in “truth,” any doctrine or dogma. It is about, from within yourself, finding and becoming truth itself.

Why can't I buy single sessions?

We offer memberships of different lengths, from 1 month to 1 year. The purpose of the membership is to encourage and facilitate an effective meditation routine. In order to achieve results, time and effort are required. We want all our members to get the most out of the meditation, and single sessions are not enough for this purpose.

If you are curious about our meditation, we recommend that you book a free introduction session.  The introduction will provide you with a good understanding of our meditation. Additionally, we provide monthly free sessions through our European collaboration Europe Meditation, and our weekly Better Sleep Meditation sessions.
